Brandon Hale. | 2 comments Hi, I'm a new member here. I am a huge fan of Stephen King, but I wonder if there's any horror author that I can check out. Thanks and have a nice day.

Nik (cinnie0) | 5 comments Depends on what type of horror you like? Check out the facebook group Books of Horror. Lots of great indie authors and books.

Annelise (thewitchylibrarian_) | 1 comments ^^I second that. I love that group, Books of Horror!

message 4: by Brandy Leigh (new)

Brandy Leigh (brandy_leigh_reads) If you want similar writing style to Stephen Kings writing I’d recommend Chuck Wendig and Nick Cutter.

Ann-Marie | 1 comments The Only Good Indians reminded me so much of the King books I read in my youth. And I second Wendig, I avoided eating apples for weeks after reading Black River Orchard and I love apples! Just a note though, both are brutally violent. It had been a while since I read horror and I was taken aback by The Only Good Indians lol

Lindsey Lamh | 1 comments I've written a gothic horror novel you may enjoy. Feel free to visit my Goodreads page to have a look!

R. Delgato | 1 comments The Backrooms - Morgan Solis gave me chills when reading at night!!!

Yellow Wallpaper vibes...

message 8: by Deedle (new)

Deedle | 1 comments I'd suggest check out the author Gabino Inglesias

message 9: by Liz (new)

Liz | 1 comments I enjoyed Graham Masterton and James Herbert when I was in my 80s Horror groove! (1980s....not my 80s 😂). I know that some of Stephen King's novels are now problematic to some, and I have no idea if the above authors have any issues. Peter Straub is also worth a read, he wrote a book with Stephen King, Black House, so you may already be aware of him.
