The Kingdom of Amandla. It started as a kingdom of hope. Queens and Kings ruled each generation with kindness and generosity, the nearest whisper of instability being in a kingdom so far away, no one could even remember the name of it. Until one year ago, Queen Evelyn ruled with a firm hand and a kind smile, her husband, King Adrian, and her children beside her.

But, of course, haven’t you learned that things that are too good to be true, most often are not?

A mysterious organization named “the Crimson Rebels”, led by the King's sister Aubree, were always lurking in the shadows, in the woods, throughout the palace grounds and scattered across the village, waiting for the royal family to be at their weakest. And as for the royal family? Well, after years of suffering excruciating abuse from her husband, Queen Evelyn was hospitalized, knocked into a deep coma, and Adrian took over the kingdom. With the violent king on the throne, everything started to fall apart for the crown.

Which meant everything was falling into place for the rebels.

In only two short months, Amandla was completely taken by Aubree and the rebels. Adrian was taken into captivity, and the rest of the royal family was sent into hiding, Evelyn is still lost in limbo, unknowing that she is currently being holed up in a tiny little room in the dark corners of the kingdom. Adrian is executed, and the rebels have won, a new form of government installed.

Amandla fell quickly because it was a kingdom relying on the trust and peace of their Queen. Once she was gone, so was any hope left for the rest of them. Now, two years later, in a land filled with distrust, ruled by one who thrives off of her reputation of terror, can it even be built back up?
