Political fiction book club discussion

This book is a follow up to Animal Farm by George Orwell. I'm taking a wild guess that it won't become as iconic as the original, but is it a good read nonetheless?

I have just finished this book and written my review, 4/5 stars. My overall take is that I thought it was too stuck in the contemporary, certainly compared to Animal Farm. Doesn't have the timeless quality. But still had a lot of funny stuff in and it was good to return to the world of an old classic. As political fiction - which is what we're here for! - it was a good satire of current/recent events. Thoughts?
