This time only three nominations. I will give it a day or two yet, and then perhaps add my nomination and make a poll.

Of course, all books on the Virago Modern Classics list can be nominated.

Is there a group on GR that celebrates Irish writing during the month of March?

I think it through now, and I shouldn't get involved in another group, I have too many already. ;-) But I will try to celebrate Irish writing in March, by reading, at least, one of Molly Keane's books (I loved "Good Behaviour") and perhaps some other book.

Laura wrote: "Hi - I want to read Miss Mole E.H. Young - she's an author I've dug up myself recently - to improve my knowledge of British Female writers - I'll vote for that."
It looks like another book will win this time. But if you want (and "Miss Mole" won't win) we can do buddy-read.
By the way, we are reading E.H. Young's series now (Jenny Wren) - if you would like to join.
