Annabella | 284 comments preferably not too long cos I'm reading other long books atm.
Idk if these kinda books exist but if anyones read anything with a depressed mc, but preferably not any explicit self harm. I'd really appreciate any recs, tysm!

angeline (ramblingdaydreams) | 0 comments all the bright places has a deuteragonist with undiagnosed bipolar disorder. it has very good representation of the depression he experiences, but do check TWs

Taherra Martin | 2 comments Good Morning Annabella if you are into family drama Cry For My Brother - a tragedy is a depressive read. Each member of the family is dealing with depression; anger, melancholia, and disruptive mood disorder. There is drug use and murder. It is a little over 300 pages. I hope that helps.

Kaylee | 17 comments Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson is short and will really put you through the wringer. I think about it at least once a week and I've reread it sooo many times. I'd check the TWs though.

Rosie (Taylor's Version) (rositathewriter) | 19 comments girl in pieces is good, but the main character self harms so idk
