It involved Sage being kidnapped by Alonzo and Glenda. They blew up the clinic and then took her to his private home (not the one where he lived). Sage was able to pretend she was still under the drug influence, got a jump on Glenda (put the syringe in her), then bolted. There was a cliff side confrontation with Alonzo where he fell to his death. Johnny was able to pull Sage to safety.
It felt a little anti climactic for me too. Yes there were actions happening but the way it was written didn't really show a sense of urgency in the situation. Though I would have to give it to Sage for staying cool under pressure and getting away without the hero doing the rescuing per se.
It was interesting but didn't have me on the edge of my seat. I think because I just didn't have enough clues to the Glenda/Alonzo connection. But, like you, Quynh, I liked that she pretty much saved herself.

I kind of liked the plot. My thoughts went as story directed (view spoiler) Climax was mildly exciting.
