While working hard, singing gives him zest,
or when, after a long day of work, it helps him rest.
No ear need hear, no voice need praise him while he sing.
It is enough for him to do it because no one else knows how he feels inside.
He lives, loves, laughs, and sings, and all is well.
His days are full of hard work while he works in his fields,
but still he will sing.
The sun is cruel, his garden won't grow, his trees suffer blight;
but that is ok bc "life is more than fruit or grain," and still he sings, and all is well.
