MBTI is a useful tool for improvement as well as understanding not only ourselves, but also the somewhat confusing actions of others. However, there seems to be some common misinterpretations or misunderstandings of its purpose throughout the Internet. I'm saying all of this here so that I don't need to endlessly repeat myself to individuals in threads.

((I'm sure you guys will be lovely and I won't have to deal with this from any of you, this is simply a precaution))

No Type is Better Than Another
MBTI is about appreciating that people process information differently than you. One type may be better in a certain area, but that doesn't make them overall "better," "smarter," ect. If you think your type is amazing, good. If you think you're type is more amazing than xxxx (insert any type here), not so good.

Your Interaction With One Person Is Not Enough to Judge an Entire Type Off
That ENTP you know who loves carrots? Doesn't mean every other ENTP you meet will love carrots. The ESFJ who killed you in your sleep and got rich off your life insurance? Doesn't mean another ESFJ will be capable of doing the same. The ISFP who cries over everything? Nope, not all of them are like that.

Type is Never an Excuse
Never, ever, never, ever, never, ever. MBTI is supposed to help you realise your weaknesses and grow from them. Not give you an excuse of, "Yes but I'm INFJ we're naturally controlling it's just who I am."

Typical MBTI Stereotypes
Finally, there's the typical assumptions people make.
Extrovert does NOT equal a gazillion friends.
Introvert does NOT mean shy.
Sensor does NOT equal shallow or superficial.
Intuitive does NOT mean you suck at sports, lololol.
Thinker does NOT equal superior intelligence.
Feeler does NOT mean you're incapable of using logic.
Judger does NOT equal uptight and control freak.
Perceiver does NOT mean lazy.

Important: Anyone needlessly "type-bashing" will be immediately dealt to and most probably kicked out. MBTI is not a tool for discrimination. Constructive criticisms or simply discussing bad experiences that unfortunately happened to involve a certain type is not considered type-bashing.
