What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

J-FIC Sci-Fi chapter book about a girl who lives in a world with monsters and trees that can move. I don't remember the storyline exactly, it was something about this girl and her monster friend who was always there for her. I think they save the world at the end of the series. . . not sure though. I believe it also included aircrafts of some mystical sort. I could be wrong. The cover was intricate and neutral in colour.
I read the book in 2016 or 2017.
Kind of like a Tolkien novel with sci-fi.
Sorry I don't have much info to share; I would just love to read this series again!

This is a real long shot but Fire has a girl and monsters (some can fly) and colors are important.

It is the book 'The Search for WondLa'.
