I'll nominate The Tusks of Extinction by Ray Nayler. I liked his debut novel, so I'm interested to find out if it was a once-off or if he's an author to keep following.
I hope it is as good as the debut one. With his short prose, which led me to 'discover' him, he is mostly great, but with a few flops

Yes, definitely!
Yes, definitely!

Ok, and if we need more, I was torn between nominating the above and The Dead Take the A Train. Its not our normal fare but looks interesting.

I planned to get into his Foundryside , but they are still TBR for me.

When I started this group, we had two books per month, but most members haven't coped to reading both... do you think we should return to 2 monthly reads?

There is a general problem that the more choices members have, the less active they are in individual threads. And if we have say just a couple of members per thread, usually there is no real discussion. Therefore, I'm very interested in what members prefer

It looks like The Tusks of Extinction and Thornhedge are the top two in the poll results. I think the group should read them both, as they are both quite short.

Yes, I think two novella-length works are manageable

Yeah I don't know what Tordotcom is smoking by thinking that price is okay.
I found it for $9 at BMV in Toronto though.

I hope that my library will have an e-book by April. These prices are crazy esp. compared with what we have in Ukraine (lower incomes - lower costs - lower prices). Say the translation of The Way of Kings (a doorstopper!) is UAH 350 (less than US$10)
