Xavier laid his weapons next to his duffle bag full of books, pens, paper, writings, maps, and even more. He was determined to gather more information about the Capitol while he was still there.

Xavier was semi-exhausted. The training wasn't too bad, but dealing with the District 2s was even worse. Xavier once had an interaction with one at a market, and it certainly wasn't a good one. He remembered it distinctly: Xavier walked up to the merchant's stand and tried to buy something, but the vendor yelled at him and told him to go away. He thought it had something to do with only selling to District 4 and up.

Still, it wasn't that big of a deal, so Xavier shook it off. He knew they would be fierce opponents. Hard to kill off. Stubborn. Not willing to make allies. Xavier knew that this would make the Games harder. Still thinking about how he could tackle the situation, Xavier opened the bag and took out a book to read on the bed next to him.

Xavier didn't look up from his book but did still see the presence of the other tribute.

Xavier tried to focus on his book but eventually put it down and reached in for a notebook. The cover was leather, and the pages were slightly yellow. Xavier pulled out a calligraphy pen and began to write.

Xavier sat in silence.

A few minutes later, Xavier followed.
