I can take one of the latitude 6s for the 296 pages in The President's Kitchen Cabinet, by Adrian Miller
Jan, will you remind me if there's a page-count minimum for this challenge? I've been reading shorties lately and want to make sure I don't sign up with something too short. Thanks!
Andrea wrote: "Jan, will you remind me if there's a page-count minimum for this challenge? I've been reading shorties lately and want to make sure I don't sign up with something too short. Thanks!"I'd like it to be over 100 pages long Andrea! That's our usual page count limit.
Jan wrote: "I'd like it to be over 100 pages long Andrea! That's our usual page count limit."Works for me. Thank you! I'm making a note on that now, so I don't forget.
Latitude 7, Antique Auctions Are Murder, #7 in series, done on 02/13I'll take Latitude 0 with The Diva Serves High Tea, #10 in series
Finished latitude 9, 296 pagesThe President’s Kitchen Cabinet: The Story of the African Americans Who Had Fed Our First Families, From the Washingtons to the Obamas, by Adrian Miller, finished 2/14/24 ★★★★
I've missed this one. I'm in the middle of a book today, but I can start a new book no later than tomorrow ...
Longitude 5
Uglies published 2005
pages 425
Can I do a swap out? I'm struggling with my book selection - it's just so much NOT my thing and I'm really having a hard time getting past the first two chapters. Would like to trade the Longitude 5
Uglies published 2005
pages 425
and replace with
Longitude 7
The Thursday Murder Clubpages 377
Hope this is ok.
Finished latitude 9The Dark Vineyard (Bruno, Chief of Police #2), by Martin Walker, finished 2/15/24 ★★★★
309 pages
I can take the remaining latitude 3 with Death in a Strange Country: (Brunetti 2), by Donna Leon, published in 1993
Jan wrote: "♞ Pat wrote: "Can I do a swap out?"Sure thing, Pat! I'll make the change :)"
Awesome, because I finished it yesterday!
Read ~ 2.18.24
Longitude 7
The Thursday Murder Clubpages 377
Longitude 2 City of the Dead
published ~ 2.8.2022
It's #37 in the series, so that's a question I should ask. If it's a double digit series number, do we use the last digit of that number or are only single digit series numbers allowed for play?
Thanks Pat!! ♞ Pat wrote: "It's #37 in the series, so that's a question I should ask. If it's a double digit series number, do we use the last digit of that number or are only single digit series numbers allowed for play?"
Good question about series. We would use the last number of double digit series.
Finished latitude 3Death in a Strange Country (Commissario Brunetti #2), by Donna Leon, finished 2/18/24 ★★★★ | published 1993
Latitude 0, The Diva Serves High Tea #10 done on 02/18I'll take Longtitude 2: A Treacherous Tale, #2 in series.
Thought I'd already posted this when I checked in with my previous book! Looks like my post didn't go up. Reposting ~
I can take Longitude 0 with Book of the Little Axe
stand alone
published 2020
pages 400
so it's a zero or nothing for this one! LOL
Thanks Christene Paula & Pat! Sorry your post didn't go up previously Pat. And just for clarification (even though it doesn't matter with your pick) , we are not counting stand-alone books for 0. Just want to make sure everyone understands that...lol.

LOL. I knew that, but a standalone isn't part of a series, so it would be the 0 book for ANY series. LOL.

Geocaching is a type of treasure hunting hobby that uses GPS coordinates to help searchers find hidden "treasures" in their community, country or around the world. There are many kinds of Geocaching, but we are going to take the basic concept and work together to complete a given GPS coordinate (latitude/longitude) and upon completion, the treasure will be revealed.
Here's How It Works: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY since there is a small change to the Page Count Option
For the given coordinate (seen in the next post), you will claim ONE number which will correspond to your book in one of three ways.
✤ The series number OR
✤ The LAST number of the ORIGINAL publication year OR
✤ The LAST number of the total page count of the edition you are reading
Then Post a Comment Indicating:
✤ The number you are claiming and whether it is from the longitude OR latitude.
✤ Include the link to your book and how it fits by including either the series number, publication year or page count. I will then mark the number as claimed.
✤ Be sure to return and let us know when you have completed the book so your number can be marked as finished. You may then claim a new number.
IMPORTANT: It will be necessary that you check the current post below for claimed numbers BEFORE claiming a new number. We will not be able to rely on the previous post for "what's next". I will try to stay on top of updating but please be patient as we progress.
Let's start the hunt!
