Character Personality: As a child of Hades, Candice is naturally cold, dark, and distant. Ever since a disastrous encounter with a giant at age seven, she has been afraid of anything tall. She has little friends at camp, instead preferring to spend her time alone in the combat arena. Candice is a very good fighter, especially with her trusty spear that can minimize into a bracelet when she’s not using it. Her ADHD is very bad – she cannot stay in one place or position for more than a couple minutes at a time. She doesn’t tend to get involved in other people’s relationships or emotions that often. But she is also brave, adventurous, and when faced with a challenge she is eager to accept it and try her best.
Candice is terrible at archery and running. She had always been a slow runner, preferring to fight in place instead. She’s also very good at hand-to-hand combat.
Character Background Story: Candice has a dark past – fitting, since she’s a daughter of Hades. At the young age of five, her parents abandoned her, telling her that they had to go on a suicide quest, and that they would never return, leaving her in the care of her abusive aunt. That had broken her forever. Then the monster attacks had started. Her first one came at age seven, when she was cornered by a giant in a dark alley. She was able to summon skeletons from the Earth – a Hades power – and drove the giant back, but she narrowly escaped.
As she got older, the attacks worsened. Her aunt didn’t care much about her safety, letting her wander outside alone to be attacked. One year, she was assaulted by draecenae, Cyclopes, giants, and other disgusting monsters on a daily basis. She barely made it through the age of ten alive. She desperately wanted to find a refuge away from her abusive aunt and the monsters, and at age eleven a satyr protector, Tom, guided her to Camp Half-Blood.

Character Personality: Christopher is a very lively person, tending to make friends quickly and easily. He jokes a lot and is very good at swordplay, and hand-to-hand combat. As a son of Apollo, he is also extremely good at archery and medicine, and has been known to heal many wounded patients in an instant. However, Christopher often flies into a rage over small matters and can be quite destructive when upset. Most of the time, however, Christopher is nice to anyone he meets, and has formed loyal connections to his friends.
Character Background Story: A satyr found Christopher at school at age 10 and took him away to Camp Half-Blood, giving him an early start over some other campers. His mother was very harsh and sometimes took to abuse. This is why Christopher hides behind his jokes a lot of the time, as some of the sadness and fear from when he was living with his mother still pains him. He never knew he was a half-blood until he was delivered to camp, and the only time he was attacked by a monster was at age seven, when a draecena disguised as his teacher besieged him in his sleep.

She hates anything to do with mushrooms. she hates them so much she will threaten death upon anyone who even mentions them in a conversation not including her. No one knows why. (And so far, she has killed three people because of it...)
Background: Amanda was raised by her rich father's sister (Nevaeh), and never actually met her father. he died in a car crash five years before she came to camp half-blood. He was the only one who knew about her mother being a goddess. Nevaeh was hinted multiple times but never got it.
after the crash, she was starting to get hunted. She and her best friend (Gloria, a satyr) ran away hoping to make life easier. But it only made things worse, and they had killed over 900 monsters in those five years. Gloria then decided to take her to camp half-blood. And now she is always wanted on their capture the flag teams because she isn't afraid to fight.

Her mother started getting visits from Scarlett's dad (Hades) soon after her stepfather left, asking to see Scarlett. Her mother reluctantly gave in and Scarlett met her real father and they talked in secret one day a year for one hour. Hades gave Scarlett her pet Hellhound "tiramisu" for her 10th birthday and a magic canister that turned into a stygian iron sword, then he told Elizabeth to take Scarlett to Camp Half-Blood and to never find Scarlett until she was summoned to Long Island to see Scarlett. Once she got to camp and she was claimed Zeus got really mad and almost killed her, but Hades calmed him down enough to where she didn't die.

Personality: Many people seem attracted to Freya’s personality and looks. She is fun, outgoing and loves to be in the company of others. She is passionate and willing to do absolutely anything to protect the people she loves. She occasionally runs away when she feels overwhelmed.
Background: When Freya was only 8 years old both her grandmother and Father passed away in a tragic car accident. Since then, she developed her biggest fear that would stick with her for her lifetime, being alone. Soon after, she was taken away and put into foster care where she met her new loving foster family. Character Personality - Despite what her appearance would suggest (depressed emo kid /lh), Emory is a truly kind soul. They're often a neat freak who believes everything has a proper place. Most people see her as encouraging and curious, but clumsy. She's intelligent, and places most of her effort and skill into planning for events like "Capture the Flag," despite their lack of athleticism.
Character Background Story - All Emory knew in life was her family, her dads, her younger sister, and the cat that followed her home from school one day, only to become a beloved family pet, treasured by all. But when Emory was about 6 or 7 years old, she was at home with her bio dad Alexander, playing in the backyard happily. Emory doesn't remember much about this day, but her bio dad remembers hearing Frieda, the family cat hissing through the mesh screen door and rushed outside to see a large, snake-like creature wrapped around their body, threatening to sink its venomous fangs into her arm, hissing about how it was going to enact revenge for what Bastet did to its master as Frieda continued to hiss, baring her fangs at the snake. Emory's father, who was cooking at the time ran towards the serpent, pulling its head away from Emory before grabbing his daughter and cat and returning inside hastily. The serpent waited outside but eventually left when Marcus returned from work with Amarys, who was at preschool.
Soon after that, Alexander explained the situation to Marcus, finally telling his husband about his previous relationship with the Egyptian goddess of cats and fertility and that his daughter was a demigod. It took Emory's stepdad a while to understand and fully grasp what Emory was, and the two decided it would be best to move to the US and send Emory to Camp HalfBlood.
