Europe through literature discussion

Our second short story read of 2024 is Balkan Bombshells, a collection of contemporary stories from Serbia and Montenegro.

I've read the first ten stories and they are all interesting in the different ways.

I have also finally started reading and am criss-crossing through the collection. So far I particularly liked "Awakened", "Small Death" and "I'm writing to you from Belgrade" but as Carolien already pointed out these short stories (14) / stand-alone excerpts from novels (3) are so diverse in theme and style, it is difficult to compare them to one another.
It is definitely a collection worth reading as it is a starting point into female literature from Serbia and Montenegro as such!
