I think I will read this book, but not this month. I have too much reading on my plate right now!
I am enjoying the book. The author is a little bit self-depreciating in his narration of how he came to be interested in being a scientist. Studying star-nosed moles was a serenditipous focus for him, but I think a good one. There are interesting pictures of the mole along with the steps he took to figure out what this body part’s function is. I haven’t finished the read yet.
The book includes qcodes that lead to Youtube videos of the animals the author studied: star-nosed moles, regular moles, shews, worms, eels and wasps hunting cockroaches to paralyze and make zombies of them. The videos are amazing!
I just started this a couple days ago and am really enjoying it. What a great idea the Youtube videos are. Especially when reading an e-book. The photos are not that great, but the videos really bring things to life.
