The book drew me in very quickly . . . just when you think all we are going to do is learn something about the characters we will be spending time with . . . BOOM! The story begins!
At first I didn't like this book. I thought it was clumsy and the first forty pages or so made me want to put it down. It was shaping up to be yet another dull disaster story and not even a good one at that. Then, suddenly, it came alive and now I've almost finished it. See you at the end.

I didn't mind the beginning . . . but I agree - it suddenly took quite a turn and became more that just another typical post-apocalyptic story.

I did not like it in the beginning either. I thought it was slow and boring, but I was in the desert camping with nothing else to read! lol It got really good really quick. I loved the characters and how it is bouncing around from person to person and from before to after. I can not wait to find out what happens. I am about 65% I think. It is hard to put down now.
