i’m working on a fantasy/dystopian novel and i’m only a few chapters in but the worldbuilding’s hitting crazy 😭 the magic systems have me in awe of what I wrote myself 🥹

I write mostly novels and i will soon (i hope) finish my FIRST SERIOUS BOOK YAYYY
But I also write songs and I really like how they are turning out at the end :) I think I am truly good at it.

I'm Serena - currently working on publishing my Romantasy series Sealed with a Kiss. It's a Magical Academy series that takes inspiration from Otome games. You can choose between 4 different suitors to read through based on your trope types.

I fall victim to Second Lead Syndrome...a lot and I figured I may as well try writing things out like an Otome game was a novel series.

Massive geek and have been writing for ages. Have wanted to be a writer since I was a kid, and finally decided that this was the year of "why not now?"

How long of a book are you looking to do? And like Addison feel free to message me happy to talk about it. Fantasy is so large so more about what the book is about would help also.

Hey Brezlyn!

What seems to be the issue per-say? Is it keeping in a solid workflow? Is it finding a way to make all of the ideas fit together and flow? Is it a discouragement/roadblock thing?

Oddly enough, I find sometimes we need to set a project aside to get recharged. There are writing exercises that work sometimes, or even reading about writing can help too.

One of my biggest recommendations for aspiring writers is to read Joseph Campbell. He has several works, but his research focuses on the Hero's Quest and how that has remained the same throughout centuries and countless societies. It can really help develop the story arch and flow of your writing.
