Basic Info
Montegard sits to the east of Whisperwood in a valley stretching a two hundred miles, surrounded on all sides by mountains. Its inhabitants are incredibly skilled craftsmen. They are builders, from carpentry to blacksmithery, if it's hard work done by hand, chances are it was made in Montegard.

With a two mile high gate in an opening between two mountains facing west and towards Whisperwood and a rugged mountain paths gaurded day and night, Montegard is one of the most fortified Kingdoms. The northwestern edge of Montegard is full of forests, a hundred miles wide. To the east is a giant lake formed by water runoff from the mountains above. Lower and working class homes can be found either deep in the woods or along the edges of the mountains. These are the people who harvest the natural resources that the middle class craftsmen use to produce their goods.

A large river carves a path through the center of the valley from the lake at the back and out the gate. The river is one mile wide and separates the forest from the unwooded land. On the bank of the river sits Ironhelm, a sprawling castle made of intricately carved stone. A fifty foot wall surrounds the castle on all sides. Within the walls live the upper class artisans. These are the painters and potters. The bakers and royal armorers.

Montegard Citizens
Citizens of Montegard tend have a lighter complexion due to their lack of exposure to the sun. They are also normally very strong, though it doesn't always show. The royals and upper class tend to be clean-shaven with longer hair and thinner builds, whereas the middle and lower class don't normally take the time to groom themselves, so the men tend to have beards and the women almost always have long, unkempt hair. They also tend to be burlier due to the physical labor performed. Those who live in Montegard value dedication above all else. The services they perform are not all the same, but each one is dedicated to completing everything they do to the best of their ability. They are very kind-hearted and gentle-handed people.
