Dark Academia Discord Group discussion

Hi all!

First, thank you very much for starting this group! Secondly I know that most of us are probably in other book clubs so starting another one can seem somewhat daunting. We're also very busy these days with work and life stuff. What I'd like to propose is that instead of doing one book every month, instead we do one book every two months. I've never been able to read a physical book for a club in under 30 days. I normally have two or three books going simultaneously . . in addition to audiobooks. What would you all say to a format like this - a new book every other month with a discussion at the end? Maybe since it would be 60 days we can have a spoiler thread in case anyone wants to ask questions along the way while reading.

OK I see a little bit more that the server already does a book of the month. It would be great if we could post that book here.

We could for sure put the book on here so everyone can post their progress, if that is a thing? But the actual discussion on it will stay in the server! For this month it's Pride and Prejudice

yeah, i was just about to mention that we already do have smtn like that on the server..

no need to apologise! it’s okay if you’re new to the server and aren’t sure how things work yet! we had a lil conversation in #book-club today about having this group to have discussions in general and see what each other are reading etc, but the main book club will stay in the server :D

i do like the idea of putting the book on here too though so i’ll do that if everyone would like me to?

Yes, adding the book here with progress will help with accountability - at least for me.

By all means, put it up!
