J L Agent Josphine by Damien Lewis. It's about Josephine Baker's time as a volunteer spy during WWII. Non-fiction but reads like a thriller.

Emma Jo Bluebird by Sharon Cameron
And The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom

Lucy’s reading corner (bring coffee) | 3 comments I HIGHLY recommend anything by Sarah Sundin! She's a WWII romance writer, and her books are amazing!! And they're also Christian so you don't have to worry about content or anything.
I also recommend The Book Thief by Markus Zusak but I saw you guys read that book this year. It's like one of my fav books of all time.
And the Cherry Ames nurse series is really good, and they were written in the late 1940s and early 50s! But they're not hard to read; I'm obsessed with them.

Lucy’s reading corner (bring coffee) | 3 comments And to add to that, The James Herriot memories are AMAZING. I'm currently reading book 2 of the british set.

Madelyn (Maddie) (GFB) The Librarian Spy

this book is so good!

Ahhh FINALLY someone who's read Cherry Ames! I love those books! 🤩

Phoebe Hinkle | 35 comments Soooo, I was a beta reader for this book so I may be slightly biased 😇 but I LOVED Trains and Tulips by Savannah Jane McCrary. It's scheduled to come out December of this year and I CAN. NOT. WAIT!!! She draws all her own illustrations and there's like 50 of them in the book 😲 I backed it on Kickstarter so I'm getting a signed full-color copy, EEEEEP!!

Oh and it's about the Dutch Resistance. Lots of inspo and occurrences based on things that actually happened, and a few appearances by real people. Even though it's war and touches on the concentration camps, everything is handled super respectfully and it's all clean!
