Fingersmith by Sarah Waters is one of my all time favorite books. It has an amazing lesbian romance and gothic setting

I'd heavily recommend A Long Time Dead by Samara Breger ! It's a sapphic vampire dark love story, definitely heavy on gothic, dark themes

That one's great, Affinity by Sarah Waters is pretty gothic in terms of atmosphere too. C. E. McGill's Our Hideous Progeny which is a reworking of elements of 'Frankenstein' is slightly in that vein but lighter and has a romance that gradually unfolds over the course of the story. Not strictly lesbian but definite queer elements in Shirley Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House centred on Theodora/Theo.

All The Dead Lie Down by Kyrie McCauley and All That Consumes Us by Erica Waters. The second rec is a gothic boarding school type vibe. <3
