You don't have to! I am reading slow and reading other things as well. I was just letting you know I started.
I do too. Normally I don't like a lot of flowery writing or over-detailed, but she does it so well in my opinion.

Definitely. I cannot believe that tomorrow is the 15th.
Although I miss Alex Stern, I am really glad to be reading this book.

I finished chapter 20.
I counted how many books I am actually reading: 8, it was 9, but I finished one this morning.

WOW. That’s a lot!I finished 1 last night and another this morning.
I’m going to jump into our book tonight.
Me too because I didn't really know anything about it and I've started looking into it a bit. And then of course, like all new things, it's been brought up in my life a couple times since. I really love the banter and interaction between Santangel and Luzia, especially in chapter 12.
Isn’t that the truth? I like how Bardugo introduced the magic here with Santangel. I am looking forward to how this working together will pan out. Does Luzia need Santangel to work magic?
Ohhh, that is a good question. I was actually thinking HE needed HER. Like, he needs her as a conductor.
Do you think the aunt is genuine with Luzia or there is some ulterior motive? Do you think Santangel knows her secrets?
Oooh, good questions. I don't know to both. I am hoping that Luzia's aunt is just being cautious, rather than something else. Santangel is an interesting character. I am hoping that he is a little bit on Luzia's side, and won't betray her if he does know where Luzia and her aunt stand with their conversion.
I hope he's on their side too! I think he relates to them more (especially Luzia) in the way that he understands being a servant or slave. I think he's enjoyed the spunk in Luzia.
I think things are about to get interesting as we get into the competition and meet the real horrible players.
I totally agree. Even though I think he has his own motivation. I hope they will end up having a great relationship.
This next section will be interesting.

I agree. He's definitely plotting his own thing. I'm excited to see where it goes. What is our next stopping point? (I'm at work and I don't have the book with me.)
I will arbitrarily say chapter 30. Once we get there, we may want to go farther. We would be at the halfway point. How's that sound?
Hi Leane,
I don't know if saw that I had updated my read count on the Familiar. I had meant to update a different book. Sorry for the confusion.
