Rowan noticed this and, walking next to Phoenix, grabbed the hand as if to restrain it.

Rowan shrugged.

Rowan looked down at the hand, realizing they were technically holding hands. They looked up at Phoenix then in the opposite direction, feeling a flush in their cheeks.

Rowan took a deep breath, feeling the heat in his cheeks decrease before looking back at Phoenix.

“We work on your robotic hand?”

Rowan rolled his eyes. “Did you seriously forget what we came here for?”

“Whatever, lets just get started.”

Rowan let go of the robotic hand.

Rowan noticed this, trying to not blush.

Rowan tried to look as nonchalant as possible, restraining himself from blushing.

Rowan sighed, turning to face Phoenix. “Well come on then, let’s fix it already.”

Rowan shook his head, then proceeded to explain there was most likely an issue with some of the wiring.

“Would it be possible to remove the robotic hand from your arm so it’s easier to fix?”

Rowan lightly grabbed it from Phoniex, setting it down on the table in front of him.

Rowan grabbed some nearby tools. “Well first we-“ They started to explain how to check the wires and fix them if needed.

Rowan nodded, examining the hand. “Seems like it.”

Rowan, not expecting the hug, blushed. He also tensed up, his expression blank and empty.

Rowan stayed quiet for a second, feeling old memories resurface. They tried not to think about them. “You’re fine.” They said to Phoenix.

Rowan drummed their fingers in their thighs as they stared at the floor of the bunker.

Rowan shrugged looking up at Phoenix. “Don’t you have to go back to the infirmary?”

“It’s a yes or no question.” Rowan said, his tone sounding extremely drier than he intended.

“Do you want me to stick around or should i go?”

Rowan was slightly surprised by this answer, but shook it off. “Okay then. I guess I’ll stick around then.”

Rowan walked to the door, holding it open for Phoenix.

Cheyenne followed Ashley through the tunnel to Bunker Nine.

“Sorry it’s such a mess in here but this is the underground forge, it’s not very big but it’s big enough” she said looking at the trap door then lifting it up

Cheyenne nodded, still following. She’d never been in bunker nine before, and was curious to see how it looked.

Ash dropped down and turned around to help Cheyenne since it was a bit of a drop but to her surprise Cheyenne wasn’t scared at all and had already jumped so they were really close to each other and they both stared for a moment before ash’s brother noticed them and said “he come over here so I can show you”

The two of them were standing extremely close together. Cheyenne maintained their gaze, looking into Ash’s eyes, before turned to look at her brother.

Ash blushed when she turned around to look at her brother but he didn’t seem to notice

Cheyenne stood, keeping her composure before following Ash to see what her brother made.

The two walked over to her brothers anvil where there was a long black sword

Cheyenne smiled. She’d never much liked swords, but had to admit this one looked impressive. “Woah, that sword looks so cool!”

“Yea it’s pretty cool.”she said agreeing with Cheyenne “what is it made of?” She asked her brother

“Well I found some Stygian iron and cooked it up” her brother replied

Cheyenne suddenly looked fascinated. “How did you stumble upon Stygian iron? It’s forged only in the Underworld and is capable of absorbing or destroying the essence of monsters, demigods, and other beings. That’s a health hazard if it’s lying around where it can easily be found.” They had a worried expression on their face.

“Yeah uhm Stygian iron is not one of those things that just lays around somewhere”ash said as she looked at Cheyenne worriedly

Cheyenne looked at Ashley, their expression one of extreme concern.

“Do you think we should tell Chiron?” she mouthed to Cheyenne when her brother was looking away

“Yeah, though maybe we should check it out ourselves first?” Cheyenne mouthed back.

“Would you mind telling us where you found the Stygian Iron?” They asked Ash’s brother.

“Wait what is Stygian iron? Is it a rare stone? That’s so cool!! And it was just on the counter over there.” He said pointing at an old table against the wall

Cheyenne walked over to the table, seeing rectangular slabs of the material on top of it.

“Uhm buddy can you head upstairs for a while, we will be up there in a minute” she said to her brother with a slightly pleading voice

After Ash’s brother left Cheyenne turned to her. “Are any of your siblings legacies of Hades or friends with anyone who’s the child of an underworld deity?”

“Not that I know of” ash responded

“We should probably bring these to Chiron, it’s not safe to have them here.” Cheyenne said.

“While I agree we should tell Chiron this is the most locked down place in camp and I can take the chunks into my workshop where no one is allowed”
