1001 Children's Books You Must Read Before You Grow Up discussion

The Monthly Book Club read for April 2024 is Gorilla, by Anthony Browne (1983). Gorilla won the Kate Greenaway Medal from the Library Association (now known as The Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, CILIP) as the 1983 best children’s book illustration by a British subject.

Cute enough, but I definitely find Anthony Browne's counting book One Gorilla much better and with superior artwork (and yes, One Gorilla also shows that we are primates and related to other primates).
