Play Book Tag discussion

High-schooler Audrey is suffering from deep depression and anxiety attacks. She had been savagely bullied by a small group of girls at school and is now recovering from a lengthy stay at a mental health facility. She has a thoughtful and caring therapist trying to help Audrey regain the happy young woman she used to be. Since Audrey finds it impossible to have eye contact with anyone, she wears dark glasses all the time, even indoors. The therapist suggests that Audrey use a video camera as her eyes to interview her family and those with whom she comes in contact.

Audrey's family seems a bit more maladjusted than she does at times. Mom rules the roost, Dad goes along to get along, and older brother Frank is lost in video game world. Frank's friend Linus becomes a regular visitor at the house and soon he is seeking out Audrey to try and befriend her. He is awfully smart and empathetic for a teen boy and is able to slowly break through Audrey's self-imposed isolation.

This is a sweet story about a young girl who inches her way back into life. Seriously, her family is crackers! I enjoyed Audrey's journey and the budding romance with Linus.
