Can anyone recommend a good biography on General Robert E. Lee?
My husband is interested in reading one, and I'd really like to find a good one for him as a gift.

That's a really good question, but I have no answer for you! My husband's from the south, but he's not much of a history reader, so I doubt he would know of any either (although he can tell me generally about the "War of Northern Aggression" :) ).

There are quite a lot of books about General Lee - I think in the field of Civil War studies there are only more books about Lincoln.
