There is a piece of me that wants to re-read them with you. In the Fantasy group we read the entire Eldering story, over 3 years, and just completed it last year. As soon as we closed the last book we wanted to start all over again! If only I had the time....

The world building and characters are all so complex and well written. I was completely engaged in the story. There are so many little threads and stories unfolding. Although over 800 pages, it read quickly and I was anxious to know more of the fates of the Vestrit family and Vivacia. There are hints at secrets and an abandoned liveship with a dangerous path. There are politics and cultural changes as slavery and the idea of women as docile homemakers only seeping into Bingtown while the founders hold onto not quite known relationship with those up the river. I look forward to reading the next in the trilogy soon.
