My book KISS AND DWELL debuted this month and for a hot second was #1 on Amazon in Humorous American Literature, beating out Janet Evanovich's new Stephanie Plum book. You better believe I screenshot that and posted it to my socials, LOL!

I'm excited to introduce y'all to my new series the HOT MESS EXPRESS. It's snarky chick-lit with sweet romantic subplots - very rom-com. Think: 'You've Got Mail' or 'Confessions of a Shopaholic.' My protagonists are between the ages of 20-40 and all experience a positive growth arc and a fun romance.
The series is a collection of stand-alone books connected by the main characters listening to the same podcast, 'The Hot Mess Express' with Dr. Veruca Valdez in which she dispenses advice on mental health, self-care, and a growth mindset.
Each book has a theme such as overcoming perfection, body image issues, dealing with other people's expectations, grief, and toxic relationships. Utilizing my psychology degree, the material is presented sensitively. The humor comes from how it is applied or internalized. I'm a big believer in destigmatizing mental health needs and raising awareness of tools we can all use but I don't want to hit readers over the head with them.
