Summary of the history<3

I wrote this for someone who had a question on what to say when someone asks about Palestine, and I thought I'd share it with everyone else too, if you ever get asked too<3:

This did not begin on October 7th, 2023. It has been 76 years.

In 1917, after the British colonized Palestine just like they did with other countries, they made the Balfour Declaration which declared the intent to make a Jewish homeland in Palestine - there was no reason for that when the Jews ALREADY lived PEACEFULLY with the Palestinian Christians and Muslims.

After World War 2, the discrimination against the Jews increased because of the Holocaust so the British got overwhelmed with their Declaration after getting pressurized by the Zionists which led them to giving this over to the UN. Reminder, the UN is brand-new. 3-4 years old only.

So, the UN made the partition plan of Palestine, which said the Jews would get over 50% of the land, even though they made up less than 8% of the Palestinian population. Obviously, the Palestinians objected because it was THEIR home they were stealing.

Then, May 15th, 1948, Israel was established which led to the Nakba, the Catastrophe. Over 750,000 Palestinians were displaced and kicked out of their homes. And even after the Nakba, Israel actually took more land than what was said in the UN plan.

The current massacre is the Gaza massacre, 2023, which is STILL ongoing, with almost 40,000 dead.

Hamas is not a terrorist organization. And they are not the cause of all of this. Israel was established 1948. The Nakba was 1948. Hamas was founded almost 4 decades later, in 1987. They were a part of the Intifada, a revolution/resistance group. They stood up for the Palestinians.

Hamas launched an attack on Israel on October 7th to fight back after 75 years of torture. They were fighting for their people. And Netanyahu saw this as the PERFECT opportunity to ethnically cleanse Gaza and have more land, because he can use the excuse of "self-defense".

They have bombed whole HOSPITALS, mosques, churches, funerals, schools, saying there were "Hamas members hiding with the civilians who were seeking refuge and treatment", but how many times had they actually found Hamas members in those bombings?

Who are they really defending themselves from? Over 50% of Gaza's population is children under 18. 15,000+ have been killed already.

FEW examples, there are much, MUCH more:

1. Al-Ahli hospital, October 17th - 471 dead.

2. Al-Shifa Hospital, November 11th - over 500 dead.

3. March 24th, 2024, IDF soldiers r@ped a 5 month pregnant woman in front of her husband and children.

4. April 21st, 2024, Israel bombed a pregnant woman, the force of the attack was so strong, her fetus was blown out.

Since October 7th, Gaza has not had food or water. Israel shut down their water supply and refused to send in any food. Humanitarian aid trucks are barely allowed in and when Palestinians gather in a crowd to grab food, IDF soldiers shoot at them. Palestinians are surviving off of grass, bird seeds, horse food, cat food, and contaminated water.

As of what's happening right now: Rafah is one of the only remaining cities, the small space that is sheltering 1.5 MILLION people- 600,000+ kids- and they all live in TENTS or DESTROYED buildings. IDF is currently bombing those places.
