i actually hate this book😭 im not enjoying it at all and the only reason im finishing it is i want to know what happens with feyre
I think this amount of smut wasn’t necessary but ok, some people probably liked it 😂Also I found Feyre kind of insufferable in the last 4 books…

She hasn't announced the date yet, but said it will be the next one she releases. Also, your English is great!

It was listed as YA by Maas and her publishers, but I must admit, especially for a moderator (haha), I still get very confused about what qualifies and what doesn't at times.

I finally finished this series earlier this month and really enjoyed it. I took a long break after the ACOFS, which I hated, and decided if I was gonna finish the series I needed to move on for a bit. I finished ACOSF in 4 days.
i just finished a court of frost and starlight a few days ago and am ready to read ACOSF, but i’m so scared bc everyone either loves it or hates it i feel like there’s no in between 😭
I'm currently reading it right now, and I understand the why the booktok girlies reccommended, the shmut is..very niceHOWEVER, I still not fond of Nesta currently.
(I just made it to part 2 of the book)
I really really loved this book. Nestas journey and character development was so well developed and beautifully written, I enjoyed it so much.
****VERY MILD SPOILERS, I think.****It was so hard for me to get into this book. Nesta in the beginning was, frankly, unbearable. I get that she's gone through terrible trauma, with not just the cauldron, but with her mother. And I understand that everyone deals and copes with trauma in different ways but I couldn't help but side with Rhysand's opinion of her throughout.
I enjoyed the character development but even after finishing, Nesta's not my favorite. I loved the Valkyries though.

I 100% agree with you. I understand her trauma, and her depression, even her anger towards certain situations, hell I empathize. But it doesn't make it okay to inherently CHOOSE to be so callous towards the people you supposedly love.
Trying not to spoil too much, what she said to Elain and her thoughts on handling their traumatic situation was uncalled for, honestly, pissed me the hell off. (maybe even took it personally because I have an older sister, and if she were to say it to me, I'd tear her to pieces)
i'm sorry but i hate nesta man... like how can somebody be so cruel to their sister when the sister was the one who provided food and clothes for them everyday?? how can someone be so ungrateful?? cassian deserves someone so much better.
Satvika wrote: "i'm sorry but i hate nesta man... like how can somebody be so cruel to their sister when the sister was the one who provided food and clothes for them everyday?? how can someone be so ungrateful?? ..."I wholeheartedly agree with you. It was so aggravating! And the fact she was trying to justify her actions? NOT OKAY, I'm honestly surprise they didn't just throw her back into the human world as a hidden test if she can make it.
Satvika wrote: "i'm sorry but i hate nesta man... like how can somebody be so cruel to their sister when the sister was the one who provided food and clothes for them everyday?? how can someone be so ungrateful?? ..."I want to add the fact how sad Feyre is talking to Cassian about the hate of her sister.
Okay, I have finally finished it, and I am agreeing with a lot of these comments! I get that everyone processes trauma differently, but she has been a *b* since before all of this happened. She has been nasty to Feyre and her dad waaaayyyy before a lot of her trauma occurred. I am not trying to take away from the fact that she didn't feel her mother treated her as well as she could have, or the trauma of her death wasn't bad, but she sounds like she has been nasty and vengeful since she was a child. I liked that there was a bit of a character arc, but I could NOT justify her actions as Maas was trying to do!
Alright just finished it! I wrote a semi-long review if you want to go read that BUT I loved how Maas handled Nesta's trauma. Everyone processes differently, and no, it does not excuse Nesta's actions, but her healing journey was truly inspiring. The spice was...well, unexpected to say the least, but I love Cassian and Nesta's relationship. Of course, Feysand will never be beaten (it is OTP forever), but the Nessian dynamic is top notch. Overall, this was a 4 star book, just because a lot of stuff the Inner Circle did in trying to help Nesta felt very wrong and the characterization felt really off in places.

This was a slow burn for me, but I'm glad I stuck out the first 1/3 of the book! I really did enjoy the change in pov.
I loved it even though there was a bit too much smut.Nesta is one of my favorite FMC and to me her behavior is valid, people cope with trauma in different ways. I'm not saying she was right and everyone should forgive her, but I understand he rbehavior and where it comes from.
Although, I hated the way everyone and especially Rhysand judged Nesta for letting Feyre hunt alone and all that stuff, and then not give a damn that Elaine didn't do anything either. To me she was just as cruel as Nesta letting Feyre provide for the family, like miss girl could have tried to grow vegetables in her gardens imo.
I think I'd like to see an Elaine redemption arc too because I'm not really vibing with her atm.
Contains minor spoilers from ACOWAR.Ooohmgee!!! THESE COMMENTS ABOUT NESTA ARE WHAT I NEED RIGHT NOW!!! 🫠🫠🫠. I finished ACOWAF 4 days ago and have felt so exhausted since. My momentum to continue this series has diminished greatly because I HONESTLY DO NOT FEEL LIKE LISTENING TO NESTA JUSTIFY HER BEHAVIOR!!! I agree with a lot of you. Both sisters left Feyre to take care of them and Feyre died taking care of Tamlin and when she finally showed up, Nesta treated Feyre like she was bothering her and Elain. 😤😤😤. And to make matters worse, THE CAULDRON PRACTICALLY SHOWED EVERYONE THAT NESTA ONLY CARES ABOUT ELAIN AND FEYRE MENTIONED IT LIKE WAS NO BIG DEAL!!! 🙄🙄🙄. ELAIN needs to GROWN the hell up. The way she is treating Lucien and how members of The Night Court are allowing Azriel to interfere with their mating bond is straight ANNOYING and MESSED UP!!! I truly think Lucien deserves better & Cassian needs to LEAVE NESTA ALONE!!! I get that Nesta is dealing with trauma but THAT IS NO EXCUSE for treating the people who DID NOTHING BUT TRY TO HELP YOU like they are bothering you. All of this is why I am torn between dropping this series COMPLETELY or hurrying up and FINISHING IT!!! Plus, I am also annoyed with The entire High Members of The Night Court. There is too much “ look at me. We are the best Court”and SSSOOO MUCH HYPOCRISY!!! 🙄🙄🙄. This Court is stressing me out!!! 😡😡😡. 😂😂😂.
I hate Nesta because she was a nasty person to begin with and then spits in everyone's face. And what kind of trauma did she go through???
Her mum groomed her more than the others big whoop. The dad died - that affected 3 siblings. She got turned into a Fae. Affected 3 siblings.
I understand Elaine was in love with a human boy who hates her so turning into a Fae isn't great, but Nesta??? Oh, sorry you now have superhuman enhancements and magic and don't have to starve anymore.
(Same shit with feyre , my god girl, just be grateful someone (yes, I mean tamlin) spares your life (when we didn't know better), gave you food, a roof, free hobby time a great sexlife and still you try to escape and whine at every turn????)
(Fair enough for when they came back from utm but before she was so whiney and ungrateful. Runs in the family )
Elaine just seems to be so simple (stupid) that nobody expects anything from her.
So long story short. All 3 of them are pains, I hated feyre in the first but then she got better and Nesta is Nesta, finding yet another excuse to play the victim.
Rant over
Honestly I liked Nesta’s growth in ACOSF but I kind of hated how mean she was to everyone, despite her trauma. I hate every character that had a certain type of trauma and gets to be mean to “guard their heart” or whatever. I don’t care, it doesn’t make sense to me. Also, I think Elain is a child and should be treated as such. Lucien did not deserve an ounce of how she treated him. You were made into an immortal beautiful being, boo freaking hoo, let’s move on. Jesus.
i forgot to mention how much i hate elain, especially after this book. girlie is a child and yet also such a bitch, and i don’t like that elain did the same shit as nesta letting feyre hunt and no one judged her for it. it makes me sick and i really really do just hate her. idc what anyone says she’s a dumb bitch and i will find a way to jump into the book and murder her if she ends up with azriel. she does not deserve our spymaster cinnamon roll. i’ll try to stomach her book tho…
Can we also talk about how useless Amren ended up being? She *was* basically a powerful being, to only be....a "normal" high fae. I also thought she would be in the book more because she knew what Nesta felt and what she obtained?I don't know there's just something about this book that was soo offputting

I agree completely. I feel like so many characters need and deserve redemption arcs tho like elain, lucien (bc he lost all his personality), Tamlin and maybe even Eris
