Sallys | 696 comments This novel has been in a basket under my bed for several years and I am so glad that I finally picked it up. I loved The Woman in White and I was not sure that I would love this one as much, but I was not disappointed. This charming detective novel is set in England in the 19th century and is the story of a gem brought from India to England and then stolen. It is tole through the perspective of different characters and built to a satisfying conclusion. I highly recommend it.

LibraryCin | 11825 comments Hi, Sally. Any chance you could edit the title of this to include the title and author of the book.

Please do leave some indication that is also counts for BWF, but the title and author in the title are helpful when I'm shelving, so I don't need to open the threads.

Thank you!
