I AM A PROUD DAUGHTER OF ATHENA 😎
Heyyyyy I took like 4 official quizzes and they all said Athena and also she’s my favorite goddess so yea So happy there’s a cabin gc for us now🤭
What are some songs that would perfectly describe the Athena cabin? My first choice is Peace by Taylor Swift. The song is sung from a vulnerable perspective where Taylor pleads to be understood and to be forgiven for her complexities. There’s issues she has that can hinder the relationship she wants to create. There is a deep and personal challenge that has to be overcome to make a difference in this relationship.
How does it relate? Athena’s children are logical by nature. Our ability to communicate through intelligence and to approach situations with clarity can sometimes be difficult for those who react emotionally. It can lead to conflicts where we are unable to communicate with the proper emotional channels. This isn’t me saying we can’t be emotionally intelligent as well, but rather our emotions play out differently because of the way we think. The song is asking to be heard and to be understood. It symbolizes the difference between Athena’s children and any other person. By emphasizing the importance of being vulnerable and emotionally honest, we are entering new territory while dealing with our personal flaws.
Lyric/ “But the rain is always gonna come if you’re standing with me”
My second choice is Can’t Catch Me Now by Olivia Rodrigo. While this could fit any PJO theme, for me it strongly fits with the Mark of Athena. For a millennium, Athena has been sending her most worthy kids to avenge her honor. And yet, no one in all that time was able to do it. I can only imagine how it must have felt to not only fail the quest, but to feel disowned by your own parent and then to also die feeling the guilt of bringing dishonor to your cabin family.
The song feels like the anthem for these demigod children. A defiant symbol that shows no mercy. Having gone through so many obstacles on the dangerous journey to find the MoA, it brings a loud reminder that they are more than a failed quest. These demigod children should be recognized for their bravery and value, their ability to make it this far. The song feels like it’s insisting upon Athena to listen to her children. The legacy of these demigods shows strength that will live on in the future generations of the cabin. Whether Athena likes to be reminded of her own faults or not, she needs to see that honor isn’t everything.
Willing to risk it all just to be avenged, Athena has created a her own demise in some way or another and this song is the fuel to that rebellion.
Lyrics/ “I’m higher than the hopes that you brought down”
I love that! When I get questions like this it is like all the songs I have ever listened to fly out of the window. I will have to think about that for a bit.
@jesse those songs are literally perfect! I also think the scientist by Coldplay also fits rlly well!
Do you guys prefer PJO, HoO or ToA? What does the Athena Cabin think? If you answer, it doesn't need to be as long winded as mine, I'm just explianing my point of view.
