Quite intrigued by this quote from Monica's final conversation with Riley in chapter 74:
“Hazard will make a great dad, too, you know,” said Riley.
“Do you think so? He’s not so sure. He doesn’t entirely trust himself yet,”
said Monica, realizing as she said it how little it mattered to her now.
I read this initially as meaning that Monica had pretty much given up on her desire to have a baby, but I wondered if there was something else as well. By saying that Hazard 'doesn't trust himself', is she acknowledging that, as a recovering addict, there's a chance that he may relapse? But in her new, chilled out state, is Monica completely relaxed about this, just taking each day as it comes? Or am I overthinking it? Interested in other's thoughts.

When I read that part I read it as Monica had become so enthralled and content with her present that she didn't focus on being unhappy about not having the baby she wanted.
