I'm joining the summer reading challenge! I started with the Going for Gold prompt and read When Among Crows by Veronica Roth. The cover has drab coloring except for details picked out in gold.
Yes - and I will be completing the Bronze Tier (any 8, not just the ones labeled Bronze).I just finished prompt #16 - Time Period without Modern Transportation. A Fragile Enchantment by Allison Saft - 3.5 stars.
I'm currently reading I Work at a Public Library: A Collection of Crazy Stories from the Stacks by Gina Sheridan for prompt #4 - A Short Story Collection.
I'm planning to "go for the gold". I don't yet know where I'll start. This week, I am reading Unravel the Dusk by Elizabeth Lim, and Terminal Freeze by Lincoln Child. I was actually thinking that Terminal Freeze would work for the May mini challenge prompt "alpha".
I’m joining the Summer Challenge but I will assign books to the various prompts after I read each book. This is similar to how I do the main challenge until we get to November & then I target the prompts that none of the books I’ve read to that point fit. This week I am reading Under the Whispering Door by T.J. Klune, A Conjuring of Light by Victoria Schwab, and The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat and Other Clinical Tales by Oliver Sacks.
I plan on doing as much of the summer reading challenge that I can. I finished Lot by Bryan Washington for the short story collection, and The Deeper the Water the Uglier the Fish by Katya Apekina for "A heavy read."Right now I'm reading Seven Days in June by Tia Williams for "Dialogue with witty banter."
I am doing the summer challenge, trying for all but don't know if I will make it.I finished Fahrenheit 451 for flames on the cover. Not trying to read in order, just happened to read that book for a buddy read.
i'm working on London (spiritual leader) , Babel (not sure) , and the Great Alone (endurance)
I am joining the summer reading challenge. Going to double up on counting for regular challenge as well. Going for Gold!! I started with Expiration Dates by Rebecca Serle (#5 magical realism for regular challenge) to fulfill the boxing: strong opening hook
Then The Wild Robot by Peter Brown ( #9 character driven book) for Uneven Bars.
Now reading The Wishing Game and still deciding what it will fulfill on both challenges.
I have picked books for 20 prompts, and have finished A Spotter's Guide to Film (and TV) Locations for 'At least four Olympic ring colors on cover', this book have all 5
I am also reading Gutten og fjellet by Torbjørn Ekelund for 'FOOTBALL/SOCCER: Double letter word in title' this week. I have been watching the European Championship of atlethics on tv since Friday, so it has not been much reading done.
I intend to start reading Årets påskekrim: 13 kriminalnoveller fra spenningens mestere tomorrow for 'A short story collection' which is a library book due next week.
I'm aiming for Bronze, but I am really just honored to be participating in the Olympics ;)Starting with double letter word in title Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers
Memoir of an Olympian: Coming Home by Brittney Griner
I'm doing the summer challenge again this year, and aiming for gold. I started with The Phantom of the Opera (set in Paris) and am currently half-way through The Covenant of Water (long jump)
