Yes, you just can never tell what really goes on behind closed doors though sometimes, you could just be oblivious to the signs thinking that it's strange but oh wells. I had something of a conversation with a work colleague about this and the shocked look on her face when I stated that I think that's abuse(!!). It gets me really angry and I think this is one reason why I do not like psychological thriller; they are usually domestically set and they really get on my nerve.

Thankfully, this one was rather short and I was spared any physical violence and there wasn't anything too graphic. A lot of hints and a lot of strange conversations were had so it was somewhat palatable. And while I love that ending, I also found it strange about another character. I am wondering whether it's related to another book of author's that I'm not familiar with. In any case, I don't think I'd look to get into any other psychological thriller in the near future.
