Jordan Picklesimer Hello!! My name is Jordan, and this year is when I started to become an avid reader. I couldn’t tell you the exact number of books on my bookshelf right now, but I do know it’s over 50 XD. Anyways, I have really become interested in the idea of reading and reviewing books from other people.

I love romance (anything cute with a good plot or even with a lot of spice!). I also love, fantasy (combine romance with that and I’m sold), sci-fi (like apocalyptic situations where humans are trying to survive on a planet with little to no other socialization - like Fallout or even Walking Dead), and some thrillers and anything crime fiction or true crime.

I can only do physical copies because my eyes get strained looking at a screen and I do not have the ability to get KU right now. Or I can read a book if it’s emailed to me as a PDF. I do have a TikTok page strictly for books so I can leave a review on my platform as well.

Leave a description of your book, and I will PM you if I am interested in reading! I can’t wait to hear about the many different books out there! :)

Madison Sheldon | 9 comments I'm a new author looking for ARC readers for my upcoming novel 'When the Fairytale Crumbled." You can see my profile for the cover & description.

It is a heartfelt, clean romantic suspense story of love, secrets, family, and overcoming challenges with a satisfying HEA.
If you're interested, please reply to this post and I can email the book. Or fill my ARC Team form: https://forms.gle/Qk8NCtzXeEt3Rq8m8

L.L. Lewin | 5 comments Hi Jordan,
Would you be interested in reviewing a young adult mystery book? Neptune's Window, First Glance is the first novel in Neptune's Window trilogy. The story revolves around a teenage medium who recently lost her mother. Although she can communicate with a host of spirits, for some reason she cannot contact her mother. As she deals with trying to figure out which spirits are trying to help her, she also battles the high school drama and the discovery that her new school has a secret of its own, that those responsible will do anything to protect. Fair warning, it's not a stand-alone work, as the trilogy is meant to be read in succession, but I hope you will give it a chance. If interested I can send you a physical copy.

George Veck | 31 comments Hi Jordan,

I hope you are well. Belabour is a family drama set in Chester, North West England that is 47k words long. Should it pique your interest, I have it available in epub, kpf or pdf form.

A huge drive for me to write Belabour was to highlight the lifelong damage of domestic abuse; how victims often become bait for perpetual torment from multiple fronts, stuck in a miserable rut, unable to live life anywhere near to its potential.

Best regards,

George Veck

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D828GCKN

Description - Belabour follows the pitifully dysfunctional Paxton household; ruled by brutal, controlling Detective Sergeant Drake Paxton, served by his full-time domestic housewife, Amelia, and clung onto by Amelia's emotionally crippled, unemployable addict leech of a brother, Anton.

Amelia's endured this nightmare for nearly a decade, when Drake took advantage of her and Anton's destitution by taking the pair in and piling them with Valium.

Everything was fine, for all of six months before their wedding.

But when the sickening abuse began, leaving wasn't an option. As their sole Valium supplier, mental entrapment was already safely secured.

Slowly siphoned of all support, Amelia's prospects lay painfully thin on the ground. But while scared for her life, some glimmers of hope can't be touched or snatched through domestic torture.

Everyone slips, just depends if the time's worth biding.

Blurb:
What do accidental stalking, panic attacks, and landscaping have in common?

Everly’s life is exactly as it should be, until her estranged sister comes back to town the same day Asim Jabbar knocks on her door, nearly knocking Everly off her slipper-clad feet and her anxious heart right out of her chest.

After the flirtiest plant delivery of her life, Everly tries to find her Hot Delivery Guy without becoming a stalker, then digs herself into a hole when she enlists his help re-landscaping her yard. An already immaculate yard that does not need any new plants.

Asim agrees, on one condition: that Everly get her perfectly manicured hands dirty and join him. Despite Asim turning her life upside down, Everly can't stop thinking about the muscular, tattooed plant dad.

But when Asim’s world collapses and past scars threaten their future, Everly doesn’t realize all that Asim has sacrificed for her until it’s too late.

Hi Jordan,

My novel 'What Have You Done For Me Lately?, is the story of a complicated female friendship set in the legal world of Manhattan. It's available on NetGalley at the moment.

Kat and Mia are two different types of lawyer. Kat is an idealistic prosecutor and Mia is a corporate shark. Mia is also a raging narcissist.

For Mia, friendship is a grift, that keeps on giving. She reels Kat into her world, persuading her to come and work for her on the promise of pro-bono work. Kat thinks she has landed her dream job, defending the underdogs of life, but soon finds that there is only one underdog to defend – herself. Will she succeed?

Wishing you all the very best.

Julia

Kanara never meant to kill her mother. A lifetime in prison awaits her. But the judge gives her a break and sentences her to ten years at Zylen Mental Hospital.

At first glance, the hospital isn’t bad. The food is edible, the other patients don’t know about her crime, and Eliot, the intern assigned to her case, is gentle and kind, not to mention gorgeous.

But the hospital has a few secrets of its own.

Like the cryptic message on the wall in Kanara’s room, written in a cipher only she and her sister know.

And the new voice in her head that seems to be able to predict the future.

And the doctors whispering in secret that their experiment is failing, the patients are dying, and they’re all running out of time.

Jessica Lewandowski | 29 comments Hi Jordan!

I would love to have you review my book if you are interested.

‘Fire and Tears’ is an emotionally gripping suspense thriller!!! But there is also crime, mystery, romance, action, and drama!

FREE WITH KINDLE UNLIMITED! See link below. ⬇️

Caution ⚠️: Mature Audience Recommended. Potentially triggering content such as abuse, brutality, and sexual assault.

Overview:

Jade speeds down the road in a stolen vehicle determined to get away from the man relentlessly pursuing her. She flips over the guardrail and lands nose-down on the tree-covered mountainside. Staggering out of the car and bleeding from her head, she knows her life is in danger. However, Jade’s determination won’t allow her to stop there. Especially not when Ivan starts to pursue her on foot. She’d rather take her chances running down the snowy mountainside on a cold winter night with only the light of the full moon to guide her way. Would this be just another escape attempt gone awry?

Jade is a stubborn, persistent, and compassionate seventeen-year-old girl with some grit and some wit. She is sold to the highest bidder by her stepfather, a man once a hero to her, but now a monster. And he wouldn’t be the only monster she would have to face. Nor the only monster she would fight. Because she would fight. She can’t help but fight, even when she knows the odds are against her.

When Jade is sold to a wealthy businessman, Ivan, she expects to become his sex slave, but things take an unexpected turn when she is gifted to Ivan’s brother. Seemingly now in the clear, Jade quickly realizes that Ivan remains a constant threat, and he shows no intention of ceasing his pursuit, despite his brother’s demands not to touch her.

Meanwhile, there is a mysterious man who has been looking for Jade when he realizes she may be in danger, but every time he gains an inch, he loses a mile. When he finally manages to get her to safety, Jade has a hard time truly escaping her monsters when her mind won’t let her forget what Ivan did to her. But perhaps forgetting her monsters isn’t how she’s meant to overcome her battles. No. Perhaps facing them is the only way for her to have her victory. So this time, if he comes for her, she’ll be ready. And she’ll fight.

Katy Grabel (katygrabel) | 14 comments The Magician's Daughter: A Memoir

Hi Jordan,
Please consider reviewing my book The Magician's Daughter: A Memoir. Publication date May 13, 224 pages. My author website: www.KatyGrabel.com. Can send an ARC or email at PDF.

When I was fourteen, I toured in my father’s big illusion show. He wanted to be a Las Vegas headliner, and I wanted to be his famous girl assistant.  We were bound for trouble.

So that's what the book is about – big impossible dreams that ask too much of us.

It’s a true coming-of-age story, but it reads like fiction with plenty of scenes, action and suspense that takes the reader to the end of the tour where the fate of the show will be determine by casino talent scouts.

There are lots of vintage photos and even my journal entries when I was on the road. It's great for adult readers who love memoirs, unusual and interesting true stories.  Does not fit into YA or NA genres. No sex or violence is in the story.

Your review would be very welcome.

Here is back cover description:

The Magician’s Daughter: A Memoir is a coming-of-age story set within the motion and light of a traveling magic show. Fourteen-year-old Katy is the daughter of professional magician Lee Grabel who is stuck behind a desk in the suburbs and yearning for his former show. When he decides to hit the road again in a grand bid to be a Las Vegas headliner, Katy shares her father’s dreams of a big casino booking even as troubles mount on tour. In cities far and wide Katy struggles to understand the perennial power of magic on stage and off. Never before has a daughter of a great magician written with such candor and beauty about this backstage world, where all outlandish dreams are possible, and the magic continues after the show leaves town.

Hi, Jordan. Thank you for your kind offer. I write reviews myself, so I appreciate the effort and time that goes into creating them.

I'd love a review of the second Kincaid Saga book and follow-up to GOLD! Feargus is a prequel, so you can still enjoy this tale even if you haven't read the first in the series.

And yes, I'd be happy to send a PDF (with cover pic)

Here’s a brief blurb:
Feargus Kincaid is a down-to-earth working-class Aussie bloke. He wouldn’t hurt a fly—or would he?
When his girlfriend is attacked by three thugs, he and his best mate mete out their own form of rough justice, setting in train a series of events that will propel them into the shady world of gangsters, protection racketeers, and The Mafia. In the 1940s and 50s, life in Australia was simple. Feargus is about to see how complicated it can get.

A violent confrontation resulting in severe injuries leaves him reliant on painkillers. Despite his best intentions, Feargus finds himself drawn into a life of crime and drug addiction from which escape seems impossible. With the help of his friend and partner in crime, Paddy, he struggles to attain redemption for himself and a secure future for his sons, Malcolm and Jamie.

Sometimes, however, Fate has other ideas.

Feargus is written for lovers of gritty fiction and 20th-century drama. Any and all reviews, long or short, will be most welcome. Even a simple star rating if you prefer.

It is available on KU if you happen to subscribe. Here's a link:

If you'd prefer me to send an ARC, message me here or email me at thomasgreenbank888@gmail.com and I'll reply with a PDF.

Thanks again. Thomas.
