So wrapped up in Spring! I still want to know what was making sounds in the garden.
The Cauldron:
Originally the cauldron, of course made me think of a witch coven boiling up trouble.
Theory - the Cauldron isn't good or evil but can be wielded to do either or possibly the magic equivalent of a particle accelerator? It can create or destroy...
Object - I'm still convinced that's what it looks like - a huge black pot that holds the essence of magic... with large oily bubbles ..
I've heard a lot about this book before I started reading it, including the Beauty and the Beast reference, which is something I kept comparing it to. I honestly struggled picturing therm and went to TikTok to look up possible pictures of them, which helped me with what they looked like. Having read the last Crescent City book before this series, which actually briefly crosses into the world of the ACOTAR series, it describes, or it actually talks about the Cauldron and with what I read in that book I think it may be more talked about later in the series when Nesta's story happens.
I don't know what will happen with the cauldron, but I do like how it's used by the characters: "By the Cauldron, no!" If others wouldn't think I was weird, I'd totally use this in real life!
I also can't help but sort of like Lucian. He has a temper, but he's funny, and I'm a suckered for redheads, lol!
I’m getting all the feels re-reading this again! Lucien was a quick fave for me because he’s so sarcastic. As for the other territories in Prythian…I’m a lover of fall so I would definitely like to visit Autumn court. I wonder if all the creatures remain the same throughout all of Prythian or if they would change to due to climates and various factors like they do in the real world or if they would belong in certain territories and stay within those confines? We know Tamlin can turn to a beast, can the others shapeshift too?
I get the feeling the shapeshifting is a specific power only to a rare few… Tamlin is a special breed because of his brut strength and shapeshifting… obviously he has great self control as well… I can’t wait to learn about what other powers other high lords have!

The broody Tamlin has me totally interested! But I’m also so interested in the Courts that make up Pyrthian!
Share your thoughts, how do you picture them and what of their high lords?
Also, the Cauldron…. It’s referred to A LOT! I imagine it’s like their unspoken magical God of sorts… but can’t determine is it’s a theory, object, or person… anyone else confused by this?
