What are things that happened in July during previous years? Nominate those things so we can vote on an event for next month’s featured!

If you want I'm fine with editing it but that should say August in the title and we need to nominate things from July, not June. 😜

July 4th, 1776 (do I even need to say what happened lol?) - The signing of the Declaration of Independence.
I third this! (Although, technically the Declaration of Independence was passed or adopted on the 4th by the Continental Congress but wasn't signed until August 2nd, about a month later. Historians say that August 2nd is one of the most under celebrated days in America even though it was very important to our country.)
Ok... this was just my over-technical brain working over time today but just thought I should point this out. :-)
(That's true, BNC, but John Hancock did sign the Declaration on July 4th, from what I learned, and while majority of the signers signed it on August 2nd, a couple of them weren't able to do it until November 2nd.)

True, true, but the 4th is the day we celebrate it, so it felt fitting. And John Hancock (the first to sing) signed on July fourth, if I remember correctly.
Yeah, I wasn't saying that no one signed it on the 4th just that the majority of the people signed it on August 2nd. And I certainly still agree that the 4th is the one that is probably most important cuz without the Declaration of Independence passing, no one could of signed it. So I definitely agree that the 4th is the one that should be nominated. Hope I didn't cause anyone to be confused.
