in Calgary
The genre selection may change up reading if I have a book the doubles for another challenge…but as of now see below…For the monthly challenge used AI to help find book options, details below.
1- Book of the month - The London House
2- Genre Challenge - The London House
3- Monthly Challenge - The Road to Paradise or With Every Letter or The Keeper of Hidden Books
4- Continue Series - start 7/28. For a Lifetime
“The Road to Paradise” by Karen Barnett
• This novel features a woman in a ranger’s uniform on the cover, reflecting her role as a ranger in the Mount Rainier National Park. The story combines elements of Christian fiction with historical romance and adventure, focusing on themes of conservation, faith, and personal growth.
“With Every Letter” by Sarah Sundin
• The cover features a woman in a World War II nurse’s uniform, reflecting her role as a flight nurse. This novel focuses on themes of friendship, duty, and faith amidst the challenges of wartime, with a balanced approach that includes less emphasis on romance compared to some other books in the genre.
"The Keeper of Hidden Books" by Madeline Martin
• This novel primarily focuses on the resilience and bravery of young women in Warsaw during World War II. The story revolves around Zofia and her friends who strive to save books from Nazi destruction, highlighting themes of resistance, friendship, and the power of literature.
Regarding your specific question, the book does not contain explicit sexual content. The narrative is more centered on the historical and emotional struggles faced by the characters in wartime Poland.
The outfit on the cover shows a woman in a red dress and hat, with an armband. This outfit resembles a wartime uniform, particularly that of a member of the resistance or a civilian volunteer during World War II. The armband is likely a symbol of her role or allegiance during the Nazi occupation of Warsaw, indicating she is part of an underground effort, such as those involved in saving books and resisting Nazi censorship and destruction of the culture.

This month I read way more books than usual, although some of them are short novels, and one is a short story. Here's what I read:
This month was the first time I read Love Inspired books. I found that I liked the ones I read by Lenora Worth, so I'll probably read more Love Inspired in the months to come. I was surprised to find them so inexpensive. I got a lot of them as $1.99 ebooks.
