I just finished and I loved this book. I don't know if I'll give it five stars or not, because five stars is generally reserved for the books I'd take with to a desert island, but it is very, very close. 4.5, maybe?

I was a bit (possibly pleasantly) surprised by the source of Rafe's amnesia. At first I was expecting it to be a takeoff on the idea that Susan denied Aslan because coming back to the "real world" and being told that she could never go back to Narnia was traumatic and that she had suppressed those memories.

Just as an aside, (1) Susan's not dead at the end of the books, so I don't think she's damned, and (2) I was deeply conflicted about the Chronicles of Narnia at first -- I loved the books, but Aslan's resurrection felt more than slightly sacrilegious to me.
