Ok...so, so far, how's it going everyone?
I'm trying not to read most of the reviews that I've seen on this site, as many of them are pretty harsh. So, no more reading reviews for me. So far it seems simple enough; however, I don't think I've reached the meat of the story quite yet.

Amanda (shandril19) | 4 comments It came back to the library yesterday, so I stopped and picked it up. I'll start it tonight.

Sarah | 5 comments Going to the library today to get it. Will start this weekend. Can read it while Richard is watching football. Hope it isn't awful since I am the one who suggested it.

Amanda (shandril19) | 4 comments Okay, I finished it yesterday. How're the rest of you coming along?

I am almost done, should be able to finish pretty soon.

Sarah | 5 comments Finished on Monday. Gave me a lot to think about. Makes you kind of want to go out and take on the world.

Stacey (stacdxn) | 3 comments Finished it last night and I'm still trying to process it. Either it's very simple or very complicated. I'm can't decide. My copy has discussion questions at the end. I guess we could use those if ya'll want to.

Amanda (shandril19) | 4 comments I'm with you somewhat Stacey. I'm somewhere between inspired and insulted by it.

I fully get that fables are intended to be simple and send an fairly uncomplicated message, but somehow this "philosophy" seems too carefully thought out and big to let it off the hook that easily. Follow your dream and the universe will align to make it happen for you? Where's the balance, the compromise, the tough decisions in life? If it doesn't, is that inherently a sign that I didn't believe in it enough?

Ok, so I FINALLY finished, which is oh so sad.
I was grossly underwhelmed and inspired all at the same time. Maybe I'm too much of a cynic to believe in all that jazz?? It was an easy book to read, almost like a kid's book. A really good parable-type story that was a little do benign for me. Does anyone feel that way? Maybe we should take Stacey's suggestion and go through the questions at the end of the book.

Danielle Laird | 1 comments Just came back to Goodreads after a long hiatus. I can’t even remember reading this book, though I’m sure I did. Any interest in reviving this discussion board?
