Hey Brooke!
Sorry it took me so long to respond.
Yes. The dual POV will be used throughout this series; each of the brothers will have several chapters told from their POV. As well, I'm hoping to have a male narrator for the audiobooks... :-)

Yay Penny!Chapters told by a Winston brother? Can't wait!!
The audiobooks of KiTC are awesome, really, and Beauty and The Mustache rocks!

Oh, you know how to make a reader feel all good and tingly. *basks in glow of (hopefully) future audio books*

I hope so. I have serious Penny withdrawal signs:
Withdrawal. a symptom where one would experience major depression when he or she stops using a drug (eg. crack cocaine) after being dependent on it

I join you on that one, Maddevi!July is too far away!
if you don't know yet, we're going to have a "re-reiding" of Beauty and the Mustache before the release.

Ahaa perhaps that will hold me until the release! Just thinking about the Nietzsche jokes and the 'tool shed- hussy' moment makes me smile again.

Great idea!

The idea of re reading Beauty is a great one because it sets everything up perfectly. Enjoy!

I am so jealous you got to read it early! Only 8 days to go..

Huh. I promise this method of delayed gratification sounded much more reasonable in my head.
P.S: Is it just me or have you guys noticed that Reiders never really say things like "I hope I like the next Penny Reid book"? There's never any speculation on my part. I know that I'll love her book. It's just a matter of how soon will I get it.

He looks like a Jethro to me...I'm a knitter too..Highfive!! This cowl is perfect for fall..

I say go for it. The book is several years old. 🙂

In the story they talk about Duane wrecking his road runner, but they never elaborate. Then in the following stories the characters mention he did it on purpose?! Was that just implied from the start, or did I miss something somewhere?

I haven't read this book in ages so some of the nuances may be lost to me right now. :-)
I felt the crash was about Duane finally ceding control, letting go. I don't think it was about ruining the car or trying to hurt himself though.
He was always so controlling and rarely made a step without planning in advance. His family knew this about him so the crash was, in a way, the rock bottom that Duane had to reach before rising.

Welcome to the goodreads fam.... I can send you some tips how to make spoler tag or gifs in your questions or reviews, if you would like?

I don't remember him doing it on purpose. I read through that part in Truth or Beard again when he tells Jessica, and it just seems like he wasn't himself when he was racing that day. That he thought he'd lost (or was losing) Jessica and wasn't careful or diligent enough to keep from wrecking. Like he didn't care what happened to the Road Runner at that point because he was too upset that Jessica was leaving Green Valley and him.

“Beards, brothers, and bikers! Oh my!
Identical twins Beau and Duane Winston might share the same devastatingly handsome face, but where Beau is outgoing and sociable, Duane is broody and reserved. This is why Jessica James, recent college graduate and perpetual level headed good girl, has been in naïve and unhealthy infatuation with Beau Winston for most of her life. His friendly smiles make her tongue-tied and weak-kneed, and she’s never been able to move beyond her childhood crush. Whereas Duane and Jessica have always been adversaries. She can’t stand him, and she’s pretty sure he can’t stand the sight of her…
But after a case of mistaken identity, Jessica finds herself in a massive confusion kerfuffle. Jessica James has spent her whole life paralyzed by the fantasy of Beau and her assumptions of Duane’s disdain; therefore she’s unprepared for the reality that is Duane’s insatiable interest, as well as his hot hands and hot mouth and hotter looks. Not helping Jessica’s muddled mind and good girl sensibilities, Duane seems to have gotten himself in trouble with the local biker gang, the Iron Order.
Certainly, Beau’s magic spell is broken. Yet when Jessica finds herself drawn to the man who was always her advisory, now more dangerous than ever, how much of her level-head heart is she willing to risk?”
