I enjoyed this book and i'm excited to see what everyone thinks. As it's a short novel originally created from a Reddit scary story, it definitely will raise your arm hair as it strays to the more supernatural side of a thriller book.

Jefferson (jeffersonarcila) | 8 comments WOW Has anyone finished the book yet? I couldn't help but finish it in one go. The second half of the book is such a roller coaster plus the ending is craaaazy. How could they end it on that note? This was such a good choice for August!!

Joal Downing | 7 comments Quick read and enjoyable but the ending ruined it a bit for me. I’m someone who likes all loose ends to be tied up! Reading ‘none of this is true’ now and enjoying it more.

I read it in one day yesterday and I'm a little lost. Will we be discussing spoilers/explanations here?

Hi Katy! Yes let's discuss that here. I previously redacted my spoiler, but i think it's best if someone has not finished to just untick the 'notify me when people reply' box.

I've changed my theory a couple times now regarding the ending, but I found out something pretty juicy recently... there is morse code in the bloody book which gives a secret message!!

Honestly, i can't say i'm overly into thriller novels that end in more questions than answers, although i did really enjoy the pace of this book and the characters.

My theory previously is that Eve had a personality disorder and these visions were very real to her (and therefore very real to the reader). Early in the book, Eve saw the hospital hallway in the basement which i thought was actually a flashback to a previous memory of when she was institutionalized.

The other 'theory' is that Thomas can walk between dimensions which i now think is the obscure reality of the book! If you go to the media snippets in the book there is a morse code at the end of the passage (see page 264 for example). The morse code translated says "The old man with the scar has lived in the cabin for centuries and goes by many different names"

I think the book is actually filled with secret messages, specifically those media snippets! Has anyone had a gander at translating the Norwegian parts? Apparently theres a part if you spell it backwards it gives you a clue too?

Jefferson (jeffersonarcila) | 8 comments That theory that Thomas can do that blows my mind 😭
