Jaz was practicing guitar, trying to figure out how to play ‘Crybaby’ by Destroy Boys. It was his electric (an old, left-handed Fender), but he was playing without an amp.
“Need some help?”
Hecate fell out of the ceiling with vials of blood from Lori and Cosmo.
“Here you go…”He closed his eyes, concentrating, hand angled to the approximate position of the ball, and flicked his wrist. The ball rolled out from under the couch.
“Why do you need it?”
(He does like bats-)Noah came running into the room with his arms out to the sides, pretending to be an airplane. Gotta hand it to the kid, he never had to worry about being bored.
“Whoosh, whoosh, weee!”
He screeched to a halt, eyes sparkling with excitement.“Ooh, a bat!”
(Man, she really likes that rock-)
“Whoaaaa! Why are you a bat?”He tilted his head like a curious puppy.
(That’s actually so sweet)
(So Cherry would like a vial of blood from Hecate)
Noah is completely enraptured.Meanwhile, Jaz is still trying to figure out the song, glancing over at Cherry occasionally. “You still have the rock?”
(Enraptured. Prefix ‘en-‘ [of] and suffix ‘-ed’ [has occurred] modifying ‘rapture’ [a state of wonder])“Yeah, yeah!” He clapped his hands excitedly.
“Do you just keep things that people give you?”
Hecate throws a vial of blood at Cherry.

Noah giggled, clapping his hands again
(This kid is so wholesome, I just wanna wrap him in a giant hug and never let go. Also, I decided that he’s got a giant scar down his face from his bio parents)

Jaz manages to play the first verse of Crybaby through, pumping a fist when he does so.

(The bean got kicked out, plus NAME ONE OC I HAVE THAT’S NOT TRAUMATIZED)Noah’s depth perception was a little off, being partially blind in his right eye, but he managed to catch it after fumbling a little, giggling.

Jaz about dropped his guitar.
“Lori and Cosmo when I got their blood. Fun times.”
“…I’ll grab the first aid kit.”He got up, heading into the bathroom to grab it.
“Still have to replace the mirror…”

He was grinning, the little gap where a baby tooth had fallen out visible.“Oh, oh, look! I lost a tooth!”
“A apple this morning!”Noah seemed proud of himself.
Rebel appears patting Noah’s head.
“Under my pillow!”He grinned again, excited.
(He was told about the tooth fairy and got excited, but doesn’t understand how teeth work)“Hehe, I hope I get shark teeth!”
“I dunno, man, he thinks he can get shark teeth. I don’t think the kid even went to school, even if he says he’s six.”
(I might give him a shapeshifting ability, but he’s still mostly human)“Yeah… less papers to sign too. I think they’re starting to doubt the existence of ‘Aspen Gray’.”
Noah was doing a little dance.
“You could always change it up if need be. I could also always sign the papers for him to go to school if need be.” Rebel shrugged.
He immediately switched gears, tossing it up in the air and trying to catch it, failing half the time (I swear all my characters end up having ADHD)“It’s the name I use for legal shit.”
Noah smacked into a wall.“Oh no… Noah…? You okay…?”
He was starting to cry, and had busted his lip.
“Shhh, shshsh… c’mere buddy…”
Jaz scooped him up, gently rocking the child back and forth.
Noah just bawled into Jasper’s shirt, who was still trying to soothe him.“Shh…”
He was still crying, but the gentle swaying and soft fur seemed to calm him down a bit.
(The trauma holy shit)
Jaz is a little panicky from the previous loud crying, but hiding it. Noah manages to calm down, curling up a little.“Somethin’ wrong, Missy?”
(Everybody be having flashbacks here)
He’d definitely banged himself up - his lip was a little bloody and swollen.“You don’t seem fine.”
“Hey, breathe. It’s okay. You’re safe, everyone here is safe, Noah just busted his lip. Nobody’s getting hurt further, it was all an accident, everything’s calm, everything’s fine.”(Holy shit, we’re already on page 3)
