I know Umbridge comes to mind immediately but which teachers weren't good at teaching and dealing with the students?

Looking back, Flitwick and McGonagall were the only decent ones plus maybe Slughorn (minus his elitism)
GILDIROY LOCKHART. I HATED him. From the second his name was mentioned by Molly Weasley as the author of the "most helpful" cleaning books I hated him. People here saying Snape and Umbridge. I loved Umbridge. I like the annoying characters. and after reading Snape's backstory and that one scene in The Cursed Child, I felt so bad for him, and he definitely redeemed himself
Honestly, professor Binns. His class was so boring that the only person who actually did something and pay attention was Hermione. Because of this no one did very good on their O.W.L.s, even Hermione got bored while in the class.
Umbridge obv. But otherwise, Lockhart, bro was worse than all the others combined. Just a complete fraud and using spells like that on KIDS (I don’t count mad-eye cause it was Barry), no one likes a liar Lockhart, and he was so self absorbed
Gilderoy Lockhart, I mean the man was a bloody chicken and all of his books or most of them were a complete lie and fraud, and did not had any expirience also Umbridge was a bad teacher and ruined the whole point of DADA and also Moody was a bad teacher, I know he was barty but at least he showed them the unforgivable curses but still, he was a freak.
