Hey I'd really appreciate if anyone gives me any book recommendations for sad books. I want to be sobbing, up at 2 am crying because something soul shattering happened. Maybe something a little less generic and booktok-y because I have read ones like If He Had Been With Me, but it's fine if it is.

You should try 'all the bright places' by Jennifer Nixen. I haven't read it yet, but it's on my TBR. Make sure to read the trigger warnings firsts.
I just read the arc of let’s pretend I’m okay by jasmine little and I was up crying a lot so maybe you should try it.It’s a love story tearjerker where the main leads got together despite knowing they have little time. The official release is around September!!
They Both Die at the End not classic, as it is more of a postapo than story written to cry but still very moving (and no too fast action, zombies etc.)
Last survivors. Life as we knew it.
The Age of Miracles
camila is right.Literally anything that K Glasgow has wrote is utterly heartwrenching.
I promise youll stay up at night crying to that; first read The Glass Girl though
Even though it's not young adult, I recommend the joy luck club by Amy Tan. Or anything else she has written! Omg so sad and definitely tearjerkers!
A Soul Fractured into FantasyIf you open your heart to this story, not just as words on a page, but as echoes of a tortured past
You will see the world through the eyes of the broken.
The way the wounded escape into fantasy,
Where the unbearable morphs into something survivable.
Rape, betrayal, death, & fists that never knew mercy.
They are not just scenes, not merely fiction.
They are the whispers of the hardships of reality,
Rewritten in digital ink because speaking them to someone who truly doesn't care is too painful. Most never take the time to listen, anyway.
Although we usually get silenced. Let these voices be heard for a change.
For those who have known suffering,
Who have been shattered and sewn back together with trembling hands,
Each page will unravel like an old wound reopening,
Aching with a truth too raw to ignore.
And when the final word has been read,
When the weight of it all settles deep in your chest.
You will never see these moments the same again.
Because once the veil is lifted,
You cannot unsee the darkness that was always there.
