My mom asked me for recs that'll make her "feel something" and I realized all my "feel something" books revolve around romance -- which she doesn't read -- so I'm turning to y'all. Any "feel something" book recs? Any genre besides romance.

I read Heartbreak Warfare by Heather Orgeron and Kate Stewart recently and while the story does have a romantic connection, the main theme was trauma bonding as the MMC and FMC were taken prisoners of war and went through horrors together.
