Kent (hyrulebalverine) | 301 comments The listing for Rob J Hayes should be merged with Rob J. Hayes - the two books associated with this author were listed without the period after his middle initial.
Herald: Age of the God Eater book 1, which should just be "Herald", should be listed as an edition of Herald
Deathless: Annals of the God Eater book 1, which should just be "Deathless", should be listed as an edition of Deathless

Martin | 36156 comments Librarians cannot combine author pages for Goodreads Authors. You would need the assistance of site staff https://www.goodreads.com/about/conta...

Kent (hyrulebalverine) | 301 comments Perhaps I worded it incorrectly in this message, but you are able to fix the issue by editing the author credited to these books as Rob J. Hayes and link them as editions of the same books by the correct author.

A librarian did that exact thing for a different author here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

And you did it here:

Martin | 36156 comments No, the two pages need to be merged so that 'followers' are not lost, this can only be done by staff.

Martin | 36156 comments The link you give for my previous edit shows a request for which I moved one book from incorrect author page to correct author page with both profiles remaining. It is a different case which allowed for different actions.

Kent (hyrulebalverine) | 301 comments And the link I provided above that shows Paola responding to this exact text:
"It appears that Kevin J. Anderson has an additional author page created, but without the period after his middle initial: Kevin J Anderson. This second page should be merged with the first or should be removed and the books credited to the second listing should be updated to the correct author page"
and correcting the issue.

If you can no longer fix the author for these books, that's fine. Just say that rather than act like you haven't in the past. I will no close this and send a message to the site staff as you mentioned before.

Scott | 9607 comments If the bad page has no followers, the books can simply be moved. As stated above, it depends on the particular situation.

Kent (hyrulebalverine) | 301 comments Either way, I've already marked this as closed and reached out to the staff via Martin's link.
