A book with a common household object on the cover.Whatever you consider a household object counts! I don't have specific Listopia lists yet but will add them if this gets through. Suggestion: Read a book where you hope or expect to learn something new.
I hope it’s ok, Nancy, that I’m taking what I read from you in the other thread just now. It could be science or a micro history or something cooking related. It’s rather broad and leaves it open to people’s interests.

A book that includes something mentioned in William Shakespeare's Sonnet #25:Let those who are in favour with their stars
Of public honour and proud titles boast,
Whilst I, whom fortune of such triumph bars,
Unlook'd for joy in that I honour most.
Great princes' favourites their fair leaves spread
But as the marigold at the sun's eye,
And in themselves their pride lies buried,
For at a frown they in their glory die.
The painful warrior famoused for fight,
After a thousand victories once foil'd,
Is from the book of honour razed quite,
And all the rest forgot for which he toil'd:
Then happy I, that love and am beloved
Where I may not remove nor be removed.
For instance a book with: princes, victories, honor, sun, stars, leaves etc...

Shouldn't this be ISBN number?

I can't second this, but I love how creative you were Katherine (different Katherine than to my note above)! I hope someone DOES second this :)
Kelly doesn't seem to be about to propose her suggestion, so here it is:A book related to one of the traditional full moon names.

January: Great Spirit Moon / Wolf Moon
February: Sucker Moon / Snow Moon
March: Crusted Snow Moon / Worm Moon
April: Sugaring Moon / Pink Moon
May: Flower Moon / Milk Moon / Mother's Moon
June: Strawberry Moon / Planting Moon / Mead Moon
July: Halfway Through Summer Moon / Buck Moon
August: Blueberry Moon / Sturgeon Moon / Dispute Moon
September: Ricing Moon / Harvest Moon
October: Bright Leaves Moon / Hunter Moon
November: Icing Over Moon / Beaver Moon / Mourning Moon

There are usually 13 full moons in a year, so by month isn't particularly accurate, but works for this purpose!

I love this one. In fact I did it as a private side challenge this year. I'd be happy to do it again, from a different slant, next year too!
Emily wrote: "Hey LeahS, those links are broken. Please copy the entire link address and post them!"Sorry about that. Links for the full moon suggestion.

I'll second the "gothic" category
I hope "hope or expect to learn something new" gets seconded, as someone who reads as much nonfiction as fiction.

Just a reminder that you can find a full list of prompts already on the 2025 list in the third post on this thread.
How Suggestions Work:
- The topics for the 2025 reading challenge list will be determined by a series of mini-polls, the number of which depends on the number of prompts winning in each mini-polls
- Suggestions for each poll will be opened until 15 suggestions are received and “seconded”.
- The voting thread will open the day after suggestions go live. You can find the schedule here.
Rules:
- Each member can only suggest OR second one prompt
- Suggestions close after 15 total seconded prompts
When suggesting and seconding, feel free to provide examples and descriptions that may help other members understand the prompt better. These descriptions and examples will be copied over to the voting thread for further discussion.
As always, please express any and all feedback (respectfully, of course), either here or in The Wild Discussion.
