Bella The Bookworm (bellabuchanan) | 31 comments My goal this October is to read a bunch of classics. I’m currently reading Frankenstein for my school and Oliver Twist on my own. I already have a list, but I’m always open to suggestions. But also, does anyone have any tips for reading classics? I enjoy them, but I haven’t had the motivation lately

peke | 4 comments I love classics cos they really give an insight into what life was like. It's like fantasy in the sense it provides escapism, but it still reminds me of the real struggles. The characters are just so...real!

Neenu | 4 comments I highly recommend finding books that are specifically around topics you find interesting! For example, Moby Dick was a big fat no for me, as was Catcher In the Rye. But Jane Austen is my queen, as well as Charlotte Bronte and Sylvia Plath! And I found Russian classic lit to be incredibly interesting. It honestly just takes trying a few different ones to see what fits best for you! When you enjoy a plot the distance between yourself and the time it was created feels less daunting.
